Announcing the next chapter of my career inside the Wipro ecosystem. I've joined Skan AI as Sr. Director, Global Alliances.
Seventeen years ago I joined Wipro as a Global Account Executive on the EMC account. I led the EMC/VMware/RSA alliances, and then the IBM alliance, which we grew from $80M to $450M in under four years. Those eight years shaped how I think about strategic alliances and what it takes to build a business between organizations, not just alongside them. They are also where I developed the Alliance Strategy on a Page.
On the product side, that experience carried directly into building and running global alliances at CyberArk, Snyk, Illusive, and Corero, often managing Wipro as one of several strategic partners. Two years ago, Wipro Ventures introduced me to their portfolio company Functionize, which needed to strengthen its alliances. I brought the full weight of my experiences and relationships to bear, this time as a closer member of the Wipro ecosystem.
Now that association continues in a new form. Skan AI is another Wipro Ventures portfolio company, and joining it puts me at the center of a shift I have watched build for years. Most enterprises don't have an AI problem. They have an execution problem. You can't automate what you don't understand. Skan has done the hard work of making the invisible visible.
There is a bigger story here, about what AI is doing to the way the world's GSIs and services firms build, deliver, and bill, and about where Skan sits in that shift. That is the subject of my next post. For now, I am focused on two things: building the partner motion, and building the team to run it.
